Short, because there is not much to tell.
Your email address. The short code at the end of the link you arrived through (for example ?v=016), so I can see which video sent you. And the moment you ticked the box, plus the moment you clicked the link in the confirmation email. Nothing else — no name, no country, no profile.
To tell you when the book is ready, and to send the occasional letter about the farm. That is the whole reason. The legal basis is your consent, which is why the box starts empty and why you have to click a link in an email before you count.
The list sits in a database at Cloudflare, and the confirmation email goes out through Brevo. Both work on my instructions and may not use your address for anything of their own. It is never sold, rented, swapped or handed to anyone else.
Until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete it. Then it is gone. An address that never gets confirmed is removed after two weeks.
A copy of what I hold, a correction, or deletion. Just reply to any email or write to the address below. If you think I am handling it badly you can complain to your data protection authority; in the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
There is none. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no third-party scripts beyond the robot check on the form. That check and the network serving this page (both Cloudflare) may set one technical cookie to tell people from machines. Nothing is stored on your device beyond that, which is why you are not being asked to accept anything.
